May 25, Sunday – Hangin’ with Hannah
An exhausted Hannah arrived at Saturday midnight and was assigned to bed in the captain’s quarters while I moved up forward to the crew’s quarters over the cab. After much protesting saying that she should sleep in the crew’s quarters, I pointed out with her in the back section she could sleep in without shutting down the whole living quarters as she would do staying up forward. She crashed in bed and I saw her ten hours later.
Sunday was spent in the RV park next to the freeway just getting adjusted; she to slow time and rest; me to having to share space after being solo for ten weeks. But the afternoon found us wanting to do something so we went to the ancient town of St Augustine which lays claim to being the oldest continuous lived in town/city (1565) in North America – if you don’t count the First Peoples’ settlements - which we with European ancestry so conveniently do. The historic region was fascinating with structures dating in the late 1700’s to the early 1800’s. Also St Augustine is the home of Flagler College with its grandiose Ponce de Leon Hall built in 1888, as a luxury hotel is the main focal point of the campus

Shrigley-
You have got to be the luckiest SOB in the world to have one of your offspring come and travel with you. That must have been wonderful!
I keep checking in on you to see what you have been up to next. I haven't received any replies from you. Maybe you haven't seen any of my comments?
Anyway, keep rolling. It will be good to see you again.
Washington, even this side, has had one of the wettest springs I can remember. I'm not complaining, everything is staying green.
We're having a little memorial for Tye at Dancing Coyote Camp near Leavenworth this coming Saturday. It coincides with a Stevens Pass Pro Patrol Reunion. Wish me luck in keeping it together.
