March 31, Monday Tucson

The urge to leave has been overpowered by the need to finish nickel dime items so I’ve elected to not leave until tomorrow. That’s so nice to have the luxury of time to be able to say that. Also traveling alone weighs in as an advantage. So my last night in Tucson was spent taking Sue and Murray out to dinner at Sweet Tomatoes. Nice way to end a wonderful stay in what has become my second home – my “vacation snow bird home”.
After supper, I made a solo dash to the sewer dump station at a local RV store. The whole process was done in the dark with only passing traffic illuminating the operation. I must have looked like Dr. Strangelove with my heavy long blue rubber gloves on holding a bright red sewer pipe connected to the box of a RV with the business end pumping effluent into a mystery hole in the dirt parking lot. I’m surprise no one called 911.
When I returned to Clay’s Alley rather than put the RV up on its tower of leveler blocks, I just pulled into a house construction site next to Sue and Murray’s.
